Purchase of a painting directly from artist

The sales go through the EU invoicing (VAT) as I have a company registered. If the customer decides to buy, he or she will make a bank or paypal transfer. Within three (3) working days once I receive the money in my bank or paypal, I will ship the artwork to the customer. Shipment takes about 1 week – depends on the destination.

My paintings both reflect my as an artist’s point-of-view and possess an independent voice which speaks a unique message to each beholder. As Edgar Degas once said:

“A painting requires a little mystery, some vagueness, and some fantasy. When you always make your meaning perfectly plain you end up boring people”.

I have focus on acrylic paintings on canvas. They last as long as any other painting with oil paint. The main practical difference between most acrylics and oil paints is the inherent drying time. Oils allow for more time to blend colors and apply even glazes over under-paintings. This slow drying aspect of oil can be seen as an advantage for certain techniques, but in other regards it impedes the artist trying to work quickly. I usually apply the medium to the base with a brush and a painting knife. I only paint on linen canvas. Because of the durability of the canvas, I paint only on linen that does not become as loose as cotton canvas over time.

My earlier artworks were available also through online galleries (worldwide shipment) – ArtFinder from London, Daylighted from San Francisco, Saatchi Art from Los Angeles and Vango Art from San Francisco as well as Zatista from New York (accepting less than 5% of artists who apply). All of these companies except Saatchi Art select artists whose artworks can be viewed and purchased.

Online galleries

All galleries provide the opportunity to return the purchased artworks and organize the shipment without extra charge, except Zatista where the return shipment is managed by customer. Additionality Saatchi Art might ask you to cover the cost of the return shipment and Zatista will pay for the cost to return your purchase to the seller up to a maximum of $100.
Daylighted and Saatchi Art Gallery also allow to purchase printed limited copies of paintings.
